With Common Market

Blue Scholars was created in 2002 when the members, Geologic and Sabzi, were a part of The SHOW (Student Hip Hop Organization of Washington) at the University of Washington. The duo consists of DJ, Sabzi (Saba Mohajerjasbi) and MC, Geologic (George Quibuyen). The duo has performed across the United States and made appearances at the Sasquatch Music Festival in 2005, 2006 and 2008, and Bumbershoot opening for Kanye West in 2006. They have opened for and shared stages with such artists as De La Soul, Slick Rick, Wordsworth, Kanye West, Hieroglyphics, Immortal Technique, The Coup and Masta Ace.

Common Market (duo DJ/producer Sabzi and emcee RA Scion) has gathered praise as Seattle Weekly’s 2006 Best New Artist and performing slots on grand stages such as Sasquatch Festival and The Capitol Hill Block Party. They have shared the stage with the likes of KRS-One, Zion I, Ghostface Killah, The Coup, and the Blue Scholars.
