Barbara HillaryPrepare to be inspired.
On April 23, 2007, Barbara Hillary became the first African-American woman on record to ski to the North Pole. Though many people told the 75-year-old lung cancer survivor she would never make it, Barbara's resolve grew stronger with each of the "nay sayer's” comments until she finally arrived on skis at the Top of the World!
Hear how Barbara lived on the ice and braved sub-zero temperatures and the deafening silence on an unforgiving snowscape in order to achieve her goal.
